IFSSA is a Non-Profit Organization focused to develop an interface between the public and private seed sectors for enhancing the adoption and spread of public-bred varieties/hybrids
 
IFSSA increases the availability of pure foundation seed stocks of parental lines to those seedsmen who would further produce and distribute quality F1 seeds to the farmers.
 
IFSSA would also encourage and employ the application of molecular techniques for quick estimation of genetic purity of numerous commercial seedlots. Also, IFSSA also would screen the advanced breeding lines and cultivars for biotic stresses like rice blight (Xa/xa) genes.
 
Conclusively, IFSSA would strive for the food security of the nation.
